Summary:

Michelle, a young girl at the age of 12, coming from a reputable girl's school was being bullied by her classmates in cyberspace following by months of being ostracized in school.

With 7,000 over hits in a blog with defaced pictures & insults by her classmates and school mates. With vulgarities being uttered right in her face and also being threatened by her fellow classmates.

Because cyber bullying occurs either directly or indirectly. But in this case of indirectly bullying, others are involved with the process and adults are often involved, and only few of the bullies know the victim. Whether they manage to get the victim’s account or blog banned or they encourage others to post horrible information about the victim. And the danger is very real because there will be so many individuals ganging up on the victim, with more bullies that comes up with more power and more danger.

Identify the internet risks and threats in the case study:

· Aggressive intentional act or behavior.
( carried out by a group or an individual repeatedly and over time against a victim who cannot easily defend herself )

· Bullying behaviors that include spreading rumors, making threats or otherwise sending malicious messages.

· Posting identifying information online led to increased risk of online victimization.

What relevant authorities to be reported on these harmful online activities?

· Ignore emails, messages, and postings from known bullies.

· Block the addresses of known bullies.

· Show the messages to trusted adults including parents, teachers, or counselors.

When communicating with others online, what are the rules of netiquette?

There are many rules of netiquette but I will just name the top 5 rules.

The Golden Rule : Treating others as you would like to be treated.
( this might be an oldie but a goodie and it can always get you through just about any situation, off or online )

No “Flaming” : Flaming is also a form of verbal abuse when you intentionally attack or disrespect somebody for whatever reason. Even if it is something that you didn’t agree with some things that they said, but there is always a better way to share a different point of view without calling names or even verbally attacking someone.
( harassing or insulting someone will not be likely to help you gain many online friends )

Respecting the Copyrights : There are many wonderful things online, information for everyone on any topic. However, these things have copyrights and it has it’s own licenses because they are works of someone else’s so do remember to return them a credit.
( copying work without permission or saying it’s your own will only ruin your online reputation & could even land yourself with hefty fines and lawsuits )

Be Honest : Faking a website statistic, pretending to be someone else, or even trying to be cheat people online will not only hurt your reputation but can also land you in a lot of hot water.
( the line honesty is the best policy, it’s also one of the best rules for netiquette )

Keep Personal Information Private : Posting private and personal information in the wrong location can have serious consequences. Identity theft is a rapidly growing concern. Leaking too much information could give predators and those with bad intentions valuable information.
( be careful where personal information is being posted. )

What are the precautions to be taken when exchanging information online?

· Remain anonymous – Don’t give out your real email address, last name, phone number, address or even work place.

· Use email redirection service to avoid spams.

· Nicknames – Call yourself ‘Red Spiderman’ or ‘Pretty Wonder woman’ Protecting yourself against unwanted advances and use a gender-neutral nickname in order to stay safe.

PART B:

Describe the benefits of using the Internet in areas of research and school work:

There are many different uses for the internet:

· Maps

· Information about work, benefits, illnesses, travelling
( flight routes, flight times, accommodations & etc )

· The internet can also be used when users need to log into their systems from a remote location, to extract information or databases they needed.

· Communication

· File transfer
( can send anything that can be stored as a file )

· Information retrieval

When using works created by other people that is available online, what are the techniques used to record the sources of information to prevent infringing intellectual property laws:

· Don't confuse copyrights, trademarks, and other forms of "intellectual property."

( the term "intellectual property" itself, and the kind of thinking it encourages, has led to these very different things being confused with each other.)

· Learn about the public domain laws for your jurisdiction.

( "Public domain" is short-hand for "uncopyrighted", not "publicly distributed". A work can be out of copyright due to age, by the nature of authorship, or other reasons. )

January has issues with her mother, February is always talking about things he wants to do while March does them, April eats sweets and May pays for them, June is the oldest but not the wisest and July always has an opinion on everything. August never stops trying do the right thing, even if he doesn’t always know what that is. September once saw something so sad, she never stopped crying. October holds the lift for anyone, vice-presidents and street-sweepers alike (for his memory, not for theirs) and November makes fun of him for this. December is tired but always hopeful. He has never once stopped believing.

Monday’s obviously a bastard, quite literally as dad can’t remember what or who he was doing. Tuesday’s temperamental but ok as long as you stay on her good side. Wednesday doesn’t say much and Thursday sometimes hums just to break the silence. They’re in love. Friday’s always wasted and she and Saturday hold each other tightly until their delirium fades.

But Sunday, Sunday knows she’s the end. But she closes her eyes, and she pretends with all the strength in her tiny heart that really, she’s the dawn.

well this is the end of my weekdays,
and other den tuesday things were much better in office. :D
i am not stuck in chinese anymore, cause i'm doing english :D
gotta thank wani, zaim & laiha for helping me complete the last part of the chinese MCQ.

oh ya, during wednesday.
when i was on my way to work in bus 22.
there was this guy who was sitting next to me.
and he was doing something to his phone and i didnt bother to care,
until he asked for some help.
& yes i did helped him, not because i pity him or something.
and he told me, he just send his phone for repair and stuffs.
&&& i didnt knw he alighted at de same stop as me.
plus before i entered Times Center's side gate he shouted
"Miss Miss, thank you so much."
i did felt better tht very day :D

i did a super stupid thing today.
i ended work today and i started packing my stuffs into my bag.
& i didnt realise tht i had left my wallet inside my drawer.
so when i was in the bus, i just dunno why i suddenly check for my wallet.
and i realise i couldnt find it. damn it.
text king, told him tht i am heading back to office for my wallet.
called wani to double check if she saw me putting my wallet into my bag.
damn it, so i rushed back to office to check if i left it there.
and yes i did. & i left it in my drawer.
super paiseh. wtfbbq uhh.

i went thru a sucky day today.

had a hard time at work today.
brokedown twice, its like a major breakdown system in my mind.
everything seems so wrong at work today.
simply so tired doing chinese again and again and again,
everytime i submit everything up into the server,
there is bound to be rejected and i have to redo it again.
and its damn shitty.
and i have been doing chinese for at least 4weeks to 5weeks.
damn it lah. i just hope tmr i can finish everything and do something new.
seriously kinda sick of chinese.

now for the good stuff.
i had breakfast & dinner with king.
breakfast @ LJS & dinner at Chongpang with sugarcane w lemon.
its good to spend some quality time with king after having a super bad time at work.
its like "sunshine after the heavy storm" hehe.

Lazy saturday was enough for me, and today its lazy sunday.
aww man.
my old injuries are back and its hurting me right now.
my right wrist and my left knee is hurting so badly right now.
anyway i had lunch with king @ Northpoint KFC.
kinda spoilt his plan for slimming down.
the weather has been hot and cold this few weeks.
mummy's falling ill & she's been popping pah-nah-doh,
every morning after she wake me up & every night before she head to bed with me.

been missing netball trg this week due to bloody work,
and the timing tht they start trg is also freaking early @ 4.30pm?!
and i thank god tht i am ending my internship in another week time.
looking thru my schedule planner,
and i realise how packed my May is.

its gonna be the end of may and our 1st will be around the corner.
i have really no idea on what to do,
been looking over and inside out of the net to find what i am suppose to do.
didnt really have any idea. i really hope tht this week something can just pop into my mind.

so sorry for having lack of updates these few days.

and here i am blogging from my new laptop,

that i just gotten like erm 3 days back.

i gotta thank my dearest syg,

for finding a way for me to own a laptop back before i totally seriously lose contact with the internet.

&& secondly i gotta thank syg's sister,

for helping me to pay the full amount for the laptop first & also for the wonderful dinner i had at Sembawang Shopping Centre. Thank you so much once again, as i only can say that. i am really very thankful for you have helped me. terimakaseh :D

anyway my dearest readers,

the current laptop i am using is an Acer Aspire 5738z

& it was on promotion when syg & i saw at SSC Challenger.

&& finally i gotten a laptop with a webcam too.

it as pretty crystal eye, so tht it would allow syg to have a better view of me when we are webcamming :D

last week, i had a movie session with syg.

and we watched 'The Backup Plan'.

and i kinda realise that, Zoe reminded so much of me. I imagined me as Zoe and Stan as Muhd Safuan. I tend to do things to push any guy away. All I need to do was to learn how to trust my boyfriend. Just like Zoe took a big step to trust Stan. I guessed I have to believe that if he said that he will/would stay, he will/would. If he said he loved me, he really did. Like Zoe, I tend to push men away because they were just incapable of showing any signs that they even care. & the easiest way out was to leave. Wrong.! If you touch their heart, there's no looking back. Don't let any wrong choice of words destroy something beautiful.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – In a surprisingly sudden axing, Megan Fox will not return to star in "Transformers 3," which began shooting this week in
Los Angeles.

The actress last year likened franchise director Michael Bay to Hitler and Napoleon, and said he was "a nightmare to work for." Still, it is unusual to eliminate an actor or actress so closely associated with the movie, not to mention a key character in the movie, just as it begins production.

The move is also unusual since word around Hollywood talent agencies was that Bay and writer Ehren Kruger were planning on creating a female nemesis for Fox.

today's entry is not gonna be about my r/s,
but about my work.

as you knw i am working at Times Centre under MC online.
There is some stuffs that i gotta share :D

i was being told to do some paper work yesterday,
& it was the hard copy of the ReadingKeys.
i notice some stuffs about english over at the States and here in Singapore.

First : Rubbish
Normally in Singapore we use the word Rubbish in different way,
e.g : Remember to throw your rubbish into the rubbish bin.
But over at the States, they call it Trash,
so if i were to rephrase my sentence it would somehow be like this,
Remember to throw your trash into the trash bag/trash bin.

Second : Taps (water taps)
Well if i'm not wrong people in Asia call the water taps as Taps.
e.g : The water tap is leaking.
But the angmohs call it the Faucets,
which i think its is pro-nounce as fau-sets or something liddat.
And if i were to rephrase my sentence it would be like this,
The faucet is leaking.

Third : Switch on
everyone in Singapore always use this word,
or can i say everyday, you might/might not use the word Switch on.
e.g : Eh! Switch on the light leyyy.
But over at the other side they use the term Turn on,
Although the meaning of switch on and turn on is rather the same.
But different country use different term too ehs.
To me its nothing different about saying turn on or switch on.
It makes no difference at all.
So in the rephrase term it maybe
Eh! Turn on the light leyyy.

Fourth : Power
We are wasting Power every now and then,
and we are using it every now and then too.
This is how we normally say it right.
e.g : Lets save the Earth by turning the power off.
We are wasting Energy every now and then,
and this is how they say it. The word Energy.
Well, most of the time we use the word energy in our own body or something liddat.
e.g : Wha, i no energy liaos.
And if i were to rephrase it my example just now, it will be,
Lets save the Earth by turning the energy off.
(it does sound kinda wrong or something but oh well, our major papers are marked by them)

and
Lastly : Spanner
This is a tool where guys normally says tht they will use it to fight or something like that,
but we do pronounce it as Spa-Nah. And my example would be
e.g : He is showing the students how to use a Spanner.
But what i found it weird was, when i was editing the english books
just for lower grade students. they don't really use the word Spanner,
but instead they use Wrench as the word for it.
I was trying to adapt myself to change the word Spanner into Wrench.
I heard the word Wrench before in some English movie,
but i never got the chance to actually change it myself until today.
and if i rephrase my sentence it would sound like,
He is showing the students how to use a Wrench.

well, as you can see things happening to me. i am not shy to admit that my family has declare bankcrupt. because i know true friends will stay not because of money. so what. my dad & mum dun work. i dun have to state the reason out. but people will understand if they knw me well. yes, i may fall now. but i will pick myself, i will pick my family up. One day. One day it will happen. I knw i can overcome this bitter state right now and next time there will be sweetness in my chapter.

i wanna thank people like, johnny, kai, zaim, hock & my beloved boyfriend for helping me in moving everything to-and-fro woodlands to yishun and yishun back to woodlands. driving that very very big 14 ft covered lorry. all i can say is a big thank you cause my dad almost faint while painting the new place. and on the day when we were moving mum wasnt at home cause she has to attend some dunno-what-thing. i dun blame her. i do have to take my own responsibilty as well. :D

having attachment at times centre under Marshall Cavendish online. Doing online assessment from primary sch to secondary sch. whatever subjects you name we have it. and its like a race with time everyday which makes me rather tired and restless halfway during work. for example : NOW! . working hours are like office hours 9-6 daily. and to be honest. i am not the office kind of girl. @.@ i just finished my primary 6 chinese Pep Up Your Chinese chapter 10. heading to my revision 1 & 2 sooon and i am complete with my primary 6 book.

i will post again soon. for now i'm going back to work completing my pri 6 book :D

your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening
your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You

pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a
true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life

Many things happen during these few weeks.
mugging on CMaths. and next would be networking.
Exams are coming and soon my year one is gonna end.
and soon ATTACHMENT is coming.
looking forward for it. but also not really looking forward for it.
chose multimedia for second year.
i really miss netball trainings. i miss the netballers much too.

tonight i will be going over to my brothers place to stay for the week til exams are over.
and i will be so far from hunnybunneh. ):

had a good jogging session with baby.

i know you readers are sian of my old entries right. :D

firstly,
kinda busy with school. have class test, assignments and OLT(s).
9 weeks of school filled with all test and test and test.

secondly,
started work at Mr.Bean cafe & bar.
working on every friday and sat nights
9pm - 6am.
kinda shagggg.
but the pay is good. every 2 weeks get pay.
so wooohooo.

thirdly,
passed my btt, soon to ftt & even sooner to PRACT!
yeahh~
thursday to my first pract :DD

lastly,
i love my dearest bfriend.
b, i really do enjoy my time with you alrights.
and you do mean lots to me.
having you to pick me up from work every weekends,
really really touched cause you had to lessen your sleeping time just to pick me up.
but i do enjoy and love the time that we spend tgt ok.

i am looking forward for our mini holiday trip alright.

i havent got a wink until like 7++ was getting ready to go down to meet bfriend.

but i dunno whad happen i just fell on the floor (from what ah ma said)

scare the shyt out of dad and her uh.

to them is i fainted.

so i fainted to sleep i guess. ha~ (after 30 hours of no sleep)

but i didnt get to go down to meet bfriend.

and i bet he is super mad with me uh.

anyway, had carnival.

& all schools played well.

but i think for us.

i guess it was more of a bond thingy i guess.

but just have to say sorry because i didnt play well.

i am soooo super not tired up til this moment.

1 more week of holiday left til school reopen.

i got back at 5am in de morning from my dinner-cum-supper,

so off we went to east coast for supper.

oh well, its been a long time since we caught up ehhh.

Carls Jr was simply great with the cooling weather at the outside booth.

catching up was great.

den we went off to yishun,

to see my new place.
